Smiles Around!

Comments from AffordableWeddings.com:

"I remember when I went shopping for my wedding dress. I was trying on dresses next to a bride who liked to talk… there wasn’t much I could do but listen! She kept talking about how all she really cared about was the dress. After all, she could just leave the rest of the wedding planning for her mom!

Wow. If you’re reading this and agreeing with this girl, then you are one lucky woman! My mom lived thousands of miles away from me while I planned my wedding and had to get major surgery just weeks after I got engaged. My fiance and I planned our entire wedding all by ourselves. I remember trying to pinch every penny I could and convincing myself that there was just no way I could afford one of those reception centers that just took care of everything for you. Looking back on things, it would have been worth a little extra money! We were so busy during our engagement that we honestly just started counting down the days until the day AFTER we got married so we could just have a couple hours to relax!

If I could go back and do it differently this is what I’d do. I would have booked an all-inclusive wedding reception center and then picked up more hours at my job to pay the extra amount. That way I could have spent my time doing something that I enjoy AND had the reception of my dreams. sigh. If only I’d known then how many hours it really does take to plan a wedding reception. Anyone who tells you otherwise probably just had their mom plan it!

With that thought in mind I’d like to introduce you to the Northampton House in American Fork Utah. Full Service Reception packages start at $2,500. I know that sounds like a lot all at once, but when you add up all the things it includes- it’s really a great deal! Here’s the list- choice of room, wedding cake, bridal bouquet, flower centerpieces, catering Hors d’Oeuvres are included in the smallest package. Combine that with wedding cake and you really have quite enough food in my opinion, hosts and servers for the event, linens, tables, chairs, background music, microphone and lots of other technical necessities (for your pictures and video). Really, that’s incredible when you consider you have a personal assistant who merely asks you what you’d like and then takes care of the rest! It’s all the fun parts of wedding planning with none of the stress.

Trust me when I say that having someone take care of the planning for you is worth a little extra money! Find yourself a fun part time job to make up for the extra expense if you have to. You’ll cherish the memories of being engaged that come from having free time AND your family will forever be grateful that you didn’t turn them into your wedding planning slaves! "

Mary and Chris

They say one can wait for what seems like forever to find Happily Ever After. For Mary and Chris it was worth the wait.  They found each other and sealed it forever. This couple added quite the magical look to Somerset. As the sun set, the room created a romantic look of a truly priceless love.

Drew and Jini's cute idea

Drew and Jini had a most fun dinner idea:
They chose to stand at the buffet table and serve all of their guest.

Oh and I can't forget the siblings performance in honor of the Bride and Groom!!
Kings and Queens should always be seated above during any celebration.
