To Mr and Mrs Martin

Miss Mary Djurich and Mr Greg Martin were married on December 26th, just one day after Christmas! That is a LOT of celebrating in two days. What a fun way to start off the new year - with someone you just promised to love and cherish forever.

Mary and Greg had their reception in our Courtyard room. They had a hot chocolate and cookie bar - chocolate chip, sugar, and chewy ginger!

Mary came and took bridals in our Somerset room a few days before the wedding and I have some fun shots of her posing for pictures. She is modeling her mother's beautiful lace wedding dress!

Shauna & Blake

Miss Shauna Holdaway is a burgeoning event planner herself - and it showed in her reception! Blue silk chair sashes, silk overlays, and beautiful centerpieces. Everything was very organized and looked great!

This was a wedding I hardly had to plan. Shauna had a time-line for me at her event consultation that mapped out everything from her arrival time to the cake-cutting. She is going to be a wonderful event planner and she was so fun to work with!

Brian Smyer did their photography for the night. It was hard for me to choose favorites, I basically wanted to put up every picture from the reception, here are some of the best shots of the reception.

The LeCates and Werner Reception

Karen was a very low-maintenance bride - which I love. Her reception last Tuesday was calm and friendly. I love all my brides... Especially when they are so amenable that they love everything I suggest. Karen was such an easy going bride that her mother and I were hard pressed to even get her to cut her cake. She said that it looked so nice the way it was and she didn't feel the need to feed her husband crumbly pieces of it!

The whole evening was wonderful. Karen's mother put together all the floral arrangements herself! The room was filled with soft pinks and whites and everything just looked lovely.

Andrea & Jerom

What a fun couple! Andrea and Jerom were all smiles for their luncheon today. Andrea wore a sparkling gold wedding dress - and it looked gorgeous on her. I have some darling shots of her and Jerom dancing together!

Because Andrea is vegan we customized her menu. She and her new husband had couscous mixed with fresh sauteed vegetables. And for dessert my chef made a 100% vegan wedding cake complete with dairy free cream cheese frosting.

The luncheon was so fun and I know these two are going to go off and have lots of adventures together!

Great "Hopes" for the future

Wendy and Alan Hope tied the knot on December 18th! They spent a lovely evening at Northampton House laughing and greetings guests. The room was decorated with "A&W" signs everywhere (for Alan and Wendy naturally), even their cake sported some large silver lettering! The room was decorated with hot pink and sparkling silver.

I think one of my favorite parts of the reception was the live music. Wendy teaches piano and her music was provided by her very own piano students!

Corporate Christmas Dinner

Larson Davis had their corporate dinner at Northampton House on Thursday. Can I just say that the food that night was Fantastic! A hors d'oeurves hour  for socializing with served shrimp cocktails, vegetable cups, and our cheese and cracker platter. Followed by a hot meal. They choose to have our house made chicken cordon bleu and our garlic crusted beef tenderloin. My mouth starts watering just talking about it!

After dinner they were able to present a short program. Everyone was very nice to work with and it was a great evening.

Merry Christmas!

Cash & Collier

Jamie and Caden spent the evening here on December 17th celebrating their new marriage. They held a reception in our Somerset room.

Jamie's wedding cake is one of my favorite cakes that we have had here, it was decorated with burlap and pine cones and had a perfectly beautiful rustic feel!

Northampton House catered a hot chocolate bar for the reception. Hot chocolate, whipped cream, candy cane sticks, marshmallows, caramel sauce and cinnamon sticks. It was the perfect food for a chilly December evening!
